There are probably better ways to spend £680,000 but for one geezer owning the world’s most expensive mobile phone came out tops.

The “Piece Unique” is one of three created by Swiss company, Goldvish. Covered in gold and encrusted with an obscene number of flawless diamonds, the phone was presented to the Russian tycoon at the Millionaire's Fair at Cannes last Saturday. The Guinness Book of World Records was even on hand to confirm it as the world’s most expensive phone.

Of the remaining two, one has been sold to a Hong Kong businessman which leaves the other still up for grabs.

the Diamond Crypto Smartphone, designed by luxury accessories maker Peter Aloisson. This unique object de art is priced at a crisp $1.3 million and is tagged as the costliest in the world.

This one features a cover adorned with 50 diamonds, 10 of which are the rare blue ones. Apart from this, it also features s few sections made in rose gold as well.

A new limited edition mobile phone from Goldvish, the Swiss cell-phone maker has beat the Vertu collection to being the world's costliest phone ever. If you thought that the Vertu was mind-bogglingly expensive, think twice. This particular collection called PLATO and referred to as "Le million" PIECE UNQIUE was awarded a Guiness World Record for the unique distinction of being the Most Expensive & Most Exclusive handset worldwide. Since this is a limited edition, only 100 sets will be made and distributed around the world.

According to current pricing, this handset costs approximately USD 1,270,000 - that's right ! Close to one point three million dollars. Nokia Mobile phones also have been terrific indeed with Nokia Morph.

Apart from the enticing looks, this phone manufactured by Moscow-based JSC Ancort Company uses powerful encryption technology to provide special security. This technology is used with an aim to secure the user’s identity together with keeping intact the info about kidnapping, technological blackmail, financial racketeers and corrupted state officials.
