"EDUCATION ELTICISM THROUGH GENERATIONS"- IS IT IN THE FEE'S CHARGED OR FACTORY OF LIFE'S SUCCESSES

I passed my I.C.S.E exams in 1975 when it was considered an elitist education, a priviledge of the rich and the middle-class, an excellent education system, producing excellent future captains of Industry and politics.
Today in 2000's with the introduction of the "I.B "system in manny schools and a fee structure running in lakhs of rupees a year it seems that the "I.C.S.E" education system has lost its relevance as a production line for some of the best brains in India?
The "I.B" system has made Indian education a global concept for the rich and has definitely shed the inhibitions of a "Wealth education" in a "Developing Economy".
Purists would say that some of India's best minds have also come from the poorest municipal funded schools, but that success could be akin to "Lottery Winners" .The comparison of the facilities and education environment between Government and Municipal funded schools to "Private Schools" is akin to comparisons of living standards between the Developed and developing World.
